摘　　要：文章简要介绍了四川大学华西医学教育近年来的发展情况,通过对比分析中美医学教育管理体制异同以及中国国内一流高校医学国内外排名情况,提出了一流大学建设需要一流医学作为支撑,而建设一流医学的关键在于要根据国情和校情,充分发挥大学医学中心(部、院)代表大学统筹、协调和管理医学教育的功能,即是要着重提升医学管理服务的精细化和科学化水平。The paper describes the recent development of West China Medical School of Sichuan University. It compares the similarities and differences of Chinese and American management system of medical education. The paper points out that top universities need to have top medical education which is built on the basis of national situation. Medical schools should be given full authority in its operation to elevate its administration.
