摘　　要：近年来,美国居民选择公共交通出行的人数越来越多,这得益于智能交通技术的应用。NextBus是一套公交实时信息系统,可以准确地定位目标车辆的位置并预测进/驶站时间,乘客可以通过网络、短信、电话以及公交站的电子屏幕查询车辆信息,从而节约候车时间。以北卡罗来纳州教堂山镇的公交服务为例,详尽地介绍了NextBus的使用方法和启示。In recent years, most American citizens travel by public transportation which thanks the smart transportation technology. NextBus uses GPS technology and a proprietary algorithm that incorporates historical travel data to track transit vehicles and predict their arrival time. For saving time cost, passengers can inquire the information through internet, SMS, telephone, and signs. Next.Bus has a good application Chapel Hill Transit which can be used as an example to introduce the utilization and enlightenment.
