从新历史主义看《虹》中的厄秀拉

摘　　要：新历史主义强调历史与文本密不可分的关系,即"文本的历史性"和"历史的文本性",同时也凸显出文本中"颠覆"与"抑制"的政治功能。仔细品味《虹》中厄秀拉的爱情与生活,可以发现劳伦斯在厄秀拉身上所表现出的"文本的历史性"和"历史的文本性"意识,并且试图通过厄秀拉对当时的社会中心意识进行"颠覆",但在其过程中又受到了"抑制"。厄秀拉在时代和自身的压抑下毁灭了身心,成为了劳伦斯笔下的牺牲品。新历史主义视角下的厄秀拉体现出劳伦斯对工业时代的批判与绝望。New Historicism focused on the interaction between histories and texts, i.e., ＂the historicity of texts＂ and ＂the texuality of the histories＂. Meanwhile, it also emphasized on the political function of ＂subverion＂ and ＂containment＂. From Ursula＇s love and life in The Rainbow, ＂the historicity of texts＂ and ＂the texuality of the histories＂ of Lawrence can be explored. D. H. Lawrence tried to ＂subvert＂ the social core consciousness in that period, but he was ＂contained＂ finally. Ursula destroyed her spirit because of the society and herself. So she became a victim. The development of Ursula from the perspective of New Historicism reflected the criticism and despair of Lawrence.
