摘　　要：在新中国成立初期的对外宣传工作中,《中国建设》是一本非常重要的外文刊物,由宋庆龄创办,中国福利会负责编辑,先后在上海、北京出版,以多种语言向海外发行。在较恶劣的国际形势下,该刊将新中国的正面形象及时传播到世界各国,赢得了对外交往上的一些主动,尤其在第三世界国家取得了广泛而深远的影响,是新中国整体外宣工作不可忽略的重要组成部分。在其创办和发行过程中,周恩来和宋庆龄发挥了关键作用,中国福利会同仁及聘请的外籍专家作出了重要贡献。China Construction was a very important foreign language publication, which compiled by Soong Qin- gling＇ s China Welfare Institute. It＇ s published first in Shanghai, then in Beijing, and issued to the world in many kinds of language. Under such a bad international situation, China Construction spread a positive image of the new China timely to the other countries, won some initiatives in the diplomacy, especially in the third world countries. It＇ s an important part of the whole foreign publicity work in the initial period of PRC and held an ex- tensive and far-reaching influence, should not be neglected. In this process, Zhou Enlai and Song Qingling played a pivotal role, the foreign experts and all the colleagues of CWI made a great contribution.
