摘　　要：简·里斯的小说《藻海无边》对《简﹒爱》中的疯女人伯莎·梅森(即安托瓦内特)和罗彻斯特两个形象进行重新解读。既展示了安托瓦内特在白人文化和黑人文化夹缝中无所归属的边缘地位,亦揭示了罗彻斯特被父权社会放逐后的失落与焦虑,从而折射出简·里斯作为一个白种克里奥尔人追求自我属性的艰难心路历程。In her novel ＂ Boundless Expanse of the Sea＂,Jean Rhys re- interpreted the two characters in Jane Eyre： Bartha Mason and Rochester. Her re- interpretation reveals the marginal status of Antoinette in the crevice formed by white culture and black culture as well as Rochester＇s loss and anxiety after being banished by patriarchal society. The hard spiritual course of Jean Rhys as a white Creole was reflected during the process of pursuing her self- identity.
