摘　　要：一夫多妻制曾是摩门教创立之初盛行的婚姻制度,给人们造成巨大的身心创伤留下痛苦记忆。小说独特的创伤叙事手法真实揭露了一夫多妻制令人震惊的种种罪行。本文基于创伤理论和创伤叙事手法,对摩门教一夫多妻制给妇女和儿童造成的性别创伤和代际间幽灵创伤进行解读,并试图找到走出创伤阴霾的修复之路——书写,从而"忘却"这段人类历史上的惨痛记忆。Polygamy prevailed for several decades after the founding of Mormonism, traumatizing its victims both physically and mentally with unspeakable painful memories. In David Ebershoff＇s The 19 th Wife, a unique trauma narrative reveals the shocking sins of Mormon polygamy. Based on trauma theory, this article examines the gender trauma and transgenerational phantom that Mormonism has exerted respectively on women and children, and explores the healing power of writing about traumatic memory.
