摘 要:基于铷原子D1线塞曼子能级间跃迁,可以观察到光脉冲减速现象。在实验中,当一束弱的右旋圆偏振探测光和一束强的左旋圆偏振耦合光同时耦合^(87)Rb原子D1线F=2→F′=1塞曼子能级间跃迁时,在高色散低吸收的原子介质中获得电磁诱导透明现象,观察到光脉冲减速效应。研究了耦合光强度和探测光脉冲宽度对光速减慢的影响。随着耦合光功率减小,探测脉冲的延迟不断增大,减速效应更加明显。光脉冲宽度越小,光脉冲延迟时间与脉冲宽度的比值越大,参考光和探测光分开的程度越大。It is possible to observe slow light pulse based on transitions between Zeeman sub-levels of D1 line in rubidium atoms.In the experiment;when two laser beams with opposite circular polarizations(σ^- and σ~+),called probing light which is weak and coupling light which is strong respectively,couple transitions between Zeeman sub-levels of D1 line F=2→F′=1 in rubidium atoms,electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) with reduced absorption and enhanced dispersion is achieved in the atomic medium and simultaneously results in slow light.Influence of the coupling light intensity and pulse width of the probe beam on reducing the group velocity is investigated.The delay of probe pulse increases continually when decreasing the coupling beam power,which indicates more significant reduction in group velocity.The optical pulse width is smaller,the ratio of the light pulse delay and pulse width is larger,and separation of reference and probe light is larger.
