摘 要:谈及翻译问题往往徘徊于语言层面的直译或意译,然而探幽翻译转换过程的机制运作,终究绕不过双语所承载的迥异概念化思维特质,主要因为翻译过程存在中西范畴原型和语篇语义突显共同构建概念框架的经验认知,由此促发的概念框架转换深刻影响着译法选择。通过对影视片名翻译的概念化剖析,本文发现:在翻译过程中,受原型思维驱动的概念框架效应具有空间性和时代性特征,主要包括三类经验转换,即原型概念补充、原型概念缺省和原型概念变异,通过认知运作,翻译交际效度得以彰显。Literal and liberal translation are generally considered major issues in translation activity. However,the hidden process of translation could hardly be revealed without probing into the very distinctive conceptualization involving both languages and beyond linguistic level. This paper argues that it is the unique conceptual frame shifting cognition that determines selection of translation approaches,concerning categorical prototypes in both Chinese and western cultures and semantic connotation of the texts. Through analysis of conceptualization in processing title translation of movies and TV series,The paper reveals that different prototypes involved in the translation process of movie titles and titles of TV series represent both spatial and epochal effects in conceptual frame construction. In addition,mechanism of conceptual frame is manipulated by way of 3 types of prototype shifting,namely,prototype supplement,prototype default and prototype variation,through which the communicative essence of translation is highlighted.
