摘　　要：Chinese-styled woven carpets date back more than 2.000 years. During the Yuan Dynasty. a workshop produced carpets for the imperial palace. During the Qing Dynasty （1644-1911）. many Tibetan craftsmen traveled to Beijing to sell their carpets. As a restult, handwoven carpets became popular among Beijing residents. During the 1920s, Beijing became a major producer of handxvoven carpets.
