摘　　要：《誓鸟》是80后女作家张悦然的代表作,这部极富南洋气息的小说创作于作者新加坡国立大学求学期间。《誓鸟》既属于留学生文学,又被新加坡华文文坛纳入其范畴。它以16世纪大航海时代为背景,讲诉了一个关于爱与死亡的故事,想象丰富、言辞华美、手法新颖。在初代东南亚华人移民的情节架构下,传递着作家强烈的个人化倾向及女性意识,以及背后对整个"80后"群体的怀疑与反思。A representative work by Zhang Yueran, a born-in-the-1980s woman writer, Birds under Oath is a novel with strong Southeast Asian flavours, written when she studied at National University of Singapore. It is a novel that is part of lit- erature written by Chinese students overseas and that could also be included as part of the world of Chinese letters in Singa- pore. Against the backdrop of the seafaring times in the 16d＇ century, the novel tells a richly imaginative story of love and death in a language that is beautiful with new techniques. Framed around the first-generation Chinese migrants to Southeast Asia, the novel conveys the author＇ s strongly individualized tendency and feminine consciousness on top of her doubts and reflections on the＇ born-in-the-1980s＇ generation as a whole.
