流散下的身份构建——杰弗里·尤金尼德斯小说《中性》研究

摘　　要：随着殖民统治、移民潮、全球化带来的影响,族裔散居现象日渐凸显,关于流散者身份的话题迅速演变为涉及人文社会科学多个领域的核心问题。身份构建也成为当代文学,尤其是少数族裔和流散文学的重要主题。小说《中性》就是在这样的文学思潮下诞生的。作者将《中性》置于流散视野中,结合叙事话语及身份的相关理论,以主人公卡尔为研究对象,探索流散者于构建妥协身份方面所做的努力。Diaspora of ethnic groups has become outstanding owing to the effects of colonization,wave of immigration and globalization. This leads diasporic identity to evolve from a personal dilemma to a core issue in many fields of humanities and social sciences,and identity construction thus becomes an important motif in modern literature,esp. those works on minority ethnic groups and diasporic peoples. Middlesex is just a novel arising out of such a literature trend. By placing the story against the background of diaspora,the paper adopts theories of narrative discourse and identity,trying to reveal the efforts Karl,a diasporic person and the hero of the novel,has made to construct a compromised identity.
