摘　　要：利比里亚是一个完全按照美国模式建立的国家,成立之初就肩负着在非洲大陆传播基督教的使命。面对在西非存在已久的伊斯兰教,基督教的前期传播情况不甚理想。之后经过传教士的多方努力,基督教得以立足并快速发展。因此,探究19—20世纪利比里亚伊斯兰教与基督教传播及其相互关系的历史脉络,既有助于揭示这两大世界性的宗教在传播方式等方面的差异,又能更好地拓展利比里亚历史研究的广度与深度。Liberia is a country built based on the American mode and shouldered the mission of spreading the Christian gospel on the African continent since it was founded. However, compared to the spread of Islam, the early dissemination work was not as satisfactory as expected. After a century's development, the situation reversed and so as their relationships. Exploring the spreading history of Islam and Christian and their interactive relationship can not only unveil the differences between these two religions, but also expand the breadth and depth of research on the Liberian history.
