摘　　要：唐文治任上海交通大学校长10余年(1907年9月—1920年10月),建树颇多。他多方斡旋,获得政府拨款、校友捐赠、社会各界资助,建成图书馆新楼,并渐次充实馆藏,培养管理图书馆专才。他的这些举措和理念,对于今天的图书馆建设仍有借鉴意义。During his term as the Principal of Shanghai Jiaotong University （1907.9--1920. 10）, Tang Wenzhi contributed much to the University. In his great efforts, library＇ s new building was built up with funding from the government, donations from the alumni and support from all walks of life[ gradually, the collections of the library were also enriched; many library management professionals were cultivated. These measures and ideas of his still have referential significance for the construction of today＇s libraries.
