摘　　要：隔都是中世纪欧洲社会通过法律手段对犹太人实行强制隔离而设立的犹太区。它人为地将犹太人从非犹太社会中分离开来 ,对犹太人的发展产生了巨大的负面影响。但同时 ,隔都生活又将犹太人紧紧地凝聚在一起 ,使犹太人非但没有被同化 ,而且还完整地保留了自己独特的宗教信仰、文化传统、生活方式 ,使犹太民族历经劫难却顽强地生存下来。In Medieval Europe,the Jews were isolated from the non Jews, and the legal area in which the Jews lived were called Ghetto.Though it exerted tremendous negative influence on the Jews,it helped them keep their distinctive cultural tradition and way of living, which made the Jews not assimilated by the European society .
