摘　　要：腹弓发明之后,古希腊人挖掘腹弓机械结构的潜力,通过引入加力机械装置发展出更为强大的弩炮类远程武器。弩炮的尺寸各异,功能亦各不相同。古希腊在大约半个世纪的时间里穷尽了弓体构造的潜力,将弓体类弩炮的发展推向尾声。弓体类弩炮机械架构发展为之后更强大机械武器的出现奠定了基础。After the invention of gastraphetes,the ancient Greeks explored the capacity of its mechanism.They developed more powerful large-sized artilleries by introducing power augmentor devices.The artilleries had all kinds of sizes and various functions.The ancient Greeks exhausted the potential capacity of non-torsion artillery within about half a century,thus the age of non-torsion artillery was ending.Non-torsion artillery laid a good foundation for the later development of more powerful torsion artillery.
