摘　　要：近代外企具有殖民中的现代性与现代性中的殖民性双重特征。电力是工业的基础行业,作为19世纪末出现和使用的新技术,电力对中国早期的工业化推动作用明显。在上海长期居于主导地位的上海电力公司,技术趋同世界水平,为上海工业发展提供了80%以上的电力供应。在其存在的近70年间,通过低廉的电价和各种促销手段,促使上海成为吸引几乎各种形式的工业制造的场所,对上海工业化、工业布局等影响重大,是促成上海成为近代中国工业中心的重要因素。这是近代外企"殖民中的现代性"特征的重要体现。Electric power is the basic industry. As a new technology of the end of nineteenth Century, the emergence of and the use of electric power have obvious effect on China early industrialization. The Shanghai Power Co in Shanghai provides power supply more than 80% of the industrial development in Shanghai. In seventy years, the low price and various promotional means of the company, make Shanghai become attractive to almost all forms of industrial manufacturing sites.
