观赏海棠新品种‘红八棱’的选育与品种特性

摘　　要：【目的】观赏海棠在园林造景和城市绿化美化中占有重要地位。选育观赏海棠的新品种,具有重要的意义。【方法】本研究利用传统的实生选种方法,从八棱海棠种子自然实生后代中选育出观赏海棠新品种——‘红八棱’。【结果】该品种树势中等,树姿直立。一年生枝条紫褐色;成熟叶深绿色,绒毛少;花蕾粉红色;果实近圆形,底色黄绿色,果面盖色紫红色,平均单果重16.64g,坐果率高,果实VC和可溶性固形物含量较高,抗逆性较强。【结论】观赏海棠新品种‘红八棱’具有独特的观赏和推广价值适宜在北京及气候条件相似的地区进行大面积推广。[Objective]Breeding new cultivar of crabapple has the vital significance, due to the vital role of crabapple in urban landscaping.[Methods]＇ Hongbaleng＇ is a new crabapple cultivar, which is selected from the progeny of Malus robusta Rehd., and the male parent is unknown.[Results]＇ Hongbaleng＇ has medium tree vigor and upright tree appearance. One-year-old branches are puce. Mature leaves are deep green color with few tomenta. Buds are pink, and turn to white during bloom. The fruit is nearly round shape with good uniformity and higher fruit setting rate. In addition, its surface is smooth with yellow green background and pupple cover, the average fruit weight is 16.64g, the content of VC and soluble solidsis higher than prog- eny, and it also has strong resistance.[Conclusion]The new cultivar ＇ Hongbaleng＇ has unique ornamental value and it＇s suitble for planting in northern region of China.
