摘　　要：期刊信息资源管理工作的质量直接关系到高校教学质量和科研水平的提高与发展，期刊工作的当务之急是更新期刊管理观念，强化期刊信息管理，首先，更新观念，强化期刊意识，逐步实现期刊管理观念与意识的现代化，其次，建立合理的馆藏期刊结构，为学校教学工作和科研活动顺利开展提供必要条件。再次，活化期刊信息资源，使之得到充分开发利用，发挥最佳效益，再其次，实现期刊的计算机管理，开展期刊电子化信息服务，真正实现高校图书馆现代化。The quality of the administration of periodical information resources has direct concern with improvement and development in teaching quality and level of scientific research at colleges or universities. A task of top priority in periodical management is to update the ideas of administration and to strengthen the management of periodical information. So the paper argues that there exist four aspects concerning the above mentioned: 1. We should update ideas, strengthen the sense of periodical and, realize gradually the modernization of the ideas and consciousness of periodical management; 2. rational structure of collecting periodical at college libraries should be established so that essential requirements can be provided for carrying out teaching and scientific research successfully; 3. periodical informatization of college libraries can be realized by turning periodical computer control into reality and offering periodical electronics information service.
