摘　　要：本文通过对GEO和LEO两类卫星移动通信系统在技术特点、业务能力及发展趋势等方面的综合分析比较,认为在我国未来的卫星移动通信系统发展中,二者都是不可或缺的,当以定位用户切实需求,优势互补、协同发展。The GEO system and the LEO system, to be the two major arms of MSS, are advancing together while giving full play to their favorable conditions. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the two systems by comparing their technical characteristics, service capabilities and development trends. It is believed that both of the GEO system and the LEO system will be the indispensable parts of our coming mobile satellite system and should develop complementarily and synergistically to target the practical user requirements.
