摘　　要：我国高校图书馆社会开放步伐缓慢,除了一些客观因素,主要还是由于一些认识上的误解阻碍了其发展。本文在阐述"社会开放"概念模糊、校外读者权限划分不明、权利与特权混淆3点误区的基础上,提出了增加投入、扶持重点和逐步开放的策略,期望对高校图书馆对外开放起到推动作用。University libraries open to society makes slow progress, in addition to a number of objective factors, mainly due to some misunderstand ings. This paper summaries three misunderstandings： obscure conception of ＂open＂, unclear division of social reader＇s permission and confusion of fight and privilege. In order to promote university libraries open to society, this paper also proposes the measures of increasing investment, supporting key libraries and gradually opening.
