摘 要:自Thomas(1908)发现小齿猬Mesechinus miodon以来,其分类地位一直存在着争议。作者对陕西境内采集到的16只小齿猬标本进行了形态特征、染色体研究及分子生物学研究。结果表明,小齿猬外形、头骨、牙齿等具有独立特征,二倍体染色体数目为44,并存在数目不等的B染色体,不同于其它种,同时分子生物学研究结果均支持Thomas等将其作为独立种的观点。The classification ofMesechinus miodon remained a controversial topic since this species was found in 1908 by Thomas. In the present study, we collected 16 individuals from Yulin region of Shaanxi and made a research of morphological classification, chromosome and molecular biological investigation. The findings showed that those individuals were Mesechinus miodon according to the significant similarities in the morphological chara- cteristics (such as external, skull and dental measurements). The basic diploid numbers were 44, and chromosomal variation was observed. There might be the existence of B-chromosomes. Moreover, molecular biological compar- isons also supported the suggestion made by Thomas that the local hedgehogs miodon was an independent species.
