摘 要:激烈尖锐的晚明文社论争,促使一生专力于时文的艾南英建立起比他人更为自觉而成熟的"以古文为时文"理论,也是立足于时文的"以时文为古文"理论。其理论一改之前的古文、时文分裂观念,高扬时文可传古文之理、之法和真精神的主张,为古文和时文树立了统一平等的评价标准,为古文、明时文、明古文建立了三轨并行而不悖的正宗、旁门、邪说谱系,体现出他特有的季世文学和社会关怀。Devoted his mind to eight-legged-essay with all his life and placed himself into the violentand complicated literature corporation disputes in the late Ming, Ai Nan-ying had established one literarytheory of "writing eight-legged essay with ancient style prose" which was more meticulously andcompletely than others, and which also can be named this theory of "writing ancient style with eight-legged essay" . His theory had changed this broken conception about ancient style prose and eight-leggedessay with advocating this issue that perfect eight-legged essay could express lively the moral principle,the grammar and the soul of the ancient style prose. Furthermore, with installing the same and equalevaluation standard and a literary pedigree involved with the ancient prose, the Ming' s prose and theMing' s eight-legged essay, Ai Nan-ying' s theory showed his special thoughts about the dangeroussituation of the society and the literature in late Ming Dynasty.
