摘　　要：丹江口库区位于湖北、河南和陕西三省交界处，由汉江从西向东及其支流丹江由北向南汇合而成。自然环境属于暖温带-亚热带气候类型，更新世期间动植物繁盛，适合古人类生存和繁衍，是南北方古人类迁徙和文化交流的关键地带。In August through October 2009, rescue excavation was conducted to the Yuzui Site, from the Zone 11 of which large amount of lithic products of the early Paleolithic Age were unearthed, including cores, flakes, chunks and implements. These lithic products were all made of locally quarried raw materials mainly by directly flaking with hammering method and coarsely retouched, and the main type of the implements were scrapers in various forms. The excavation and preliminary study of the Yuzui Site rather completely revealed the characteristics of the lithic product assemblage, enriched the knowledge about the features of the Paleolithic cultures in South China and provided important data for the further exploration on the behaviors and the adaptive strategies of the early human beings in the Han River valley.
