摘 要:将3D DDWT(Discrete Dual Tree Wavelet Transform)视频编码技术成功地运用到多描述编码技术中,提出了一种新的基于双树小波变换的多描述视频编码方案(基本层和增强层共同决定每个描述的信息.两个描述的公共信息(基本层)利用带运动补偿三维视频小波编码器的输出产生.两个描述的增强层信息则是由将原始的图像帧与基本层重建的图像帧之差送入3D DDWT编码器而产生的四棵小波树两两组合产生).所提出的方案充分利用运动补偿三维小波变换和3D DDWT之间的优势互补,对DDWT产生的小波树间的相关性和丰富的方向选择性充分利用,同时还克服了它的垂直和水平方向信息的缺失,具有良好的编码效果.该算法为双树小波变换在多描述编码领域的应用提供了新的思路,具有一定的参考价值.By combining the multiple description coding and 3D DDWT - based video coding, a novel DDWT - based multiple description video coding scheme is proposed. Each description consists of one basic layer and one enhancement layer. The basic layer is obtained from the outcome of the video encoder based on 3D wavelet transform with motion compensation, which is used as the basic information of the two descriptions. The enhancement layers of two descriptions are resuhed from the pairwise combinations of four wavelet trees, which are produced by applying 3D DDWT on the error frame image between the reconstructed image from the basic layer and the original image. The proposed method can achieve higher coding performance since it not only makes good use of the rich directional selectivity of DDWT and the correlation between four wavelet trees, but also compensates the lack of the horizontal and vertical direction selectivity in DDWT. The proposed method in this paper can serve as a good solution for the efficient and robust video coding.
