印第安人的寻根之路——以路易丝·厄德里克的《四灵魂》为例

摘　　要：本文主要研究当代最重要的美国印第安裔作家路易丝·厄德里克的《四灵魂》中的印第安人如何在多元文化之中完成寻根之路。通过分析土地对主人公弗勒的重要性,印第安传统文化对其生存的意义,主流文化对其价值观的影响以及最后药裙对其灵魂重塑的帮助,弗勒完成了寻根之旅。厄德里克也以此书写了历史,探索了印第安人在多元文化之中新的生存模式,强调了印第安传统文化的魅力和神奇。This thesis studies Four Souls created by Louise Erdfich, one of the most influential contemporary American Indian writers, centering on how Indians under the context of multiculture recover their lost root--land. It presents Fleur Pillager＇s journey to seek land by analyzing the significance of land and Indian traditional culture, the influences of mainstream culture on her values, and the reconstruction of her soul with the help of the medicine dress, which reveals Erdrich＇ s exploration of new survival pattern for Indian under the context of muhiculture, and exploration of the marvelous Indian traditional culture, and of history as well.
