语篇句法复杂度对中国英语学习者词汇推理影响的研究

摘　　要：本研究主要考察语篇阅读过程中句法复杂度对中国英语学习者词汇推理加工的影响。研究采用有声思维和回溯相结合的方法,考察中级英语水平学习者阅读句法简单和复杂语篇时的词汇推理加工过程。研究发现:(1)受试阅读两类语篇进行词汇推理加工所使用的知识源呈现共享模式,但其语篇层面和句子层面知识源的使用频率因语篇难度不同而存在差异;(2)语篇句法复杂度对受试词汇推理加工有显著影响,句法结构复杂语篇不利于受试使用语篇层面线索,该类语篇词汇推理成功率明显偏低;句法相对简单的语篇有利于受试成功词汇推理。The present study aims to examine the effects of syntactic complexity of texts on lexical inferencing among Chinese EFL learners. Concurrent think-aloud and immediate retrospective data collection procedures was employed in individual research sessions to investigate the lexieal inferencing process of 24 intermediate Chinese EFL learners while reading syntactically simple and complex texts. The analysis of the results indicated that： （ 1 ） participants resort to linguistic and non-linguistic knowledge sources to access an accurate interpretation of the meanings of target words, but the frequencies of discourse and sentence knowledge sources use are different in reading two kinds of texts; （2） syntactic complexity of the texts influences L2 learners＇ lexical inferencing procedures significantly, and syntactic difficult text hinders the use of discourse cues resulting in significant lower rate of lexieal inferencing success; syntactic simple text is helpful for successful lexieal infereneing.
