摘　　要：西方设计发展有一个重要的线索,那就是他不断找寻世界的不合理之处与未知,并加以回应。设计与"他者"相遇,"他者"以"面容"向设计显现。出于原初的责任,设计必须回应"他者",这种回应超越了人的存在,在"他者"显现面前,我与"他者"的关系先于我的自我意识,因此设计不是基于存在论的,而是站在了伦理的高度,不断走向未来与无限。The important clue of the development of western design is finding what is unknown or unreasonable, then response to them. As to the responsibility, we must response to the other/Other, when we meet with them. The response is going beyond the existence, because before my consciousness, the relationship between me and the other/Other is been around. Obviously design is not based on ontology, but ethic. Design is beyond the existence, go further.
