摘　　要：图式是一种抽象的知识结构,是人们认知的基础。图式可以在抽象水平上表征人们的知识和人们所具有的各种经验,经验又表征为各种抽象的水平。因此,本研究在ESL阅读教学中应用图式阅读模式,帮助学生建构和激活不同的图式,并帮助他们用所存储的知识对阅读文本信息的图式进行解码,进而培养学生高效的阅读习惯,提高他们的阅读能力。Schema is an abstract structure of knowledge, and the basis of cognition. Schema could represent people＇s knowledge and their experience on the abstract levels, and experience could represent abstract levels. Thus, this research studies schema-based reading model applied in ESL reading teaching. It attempts to help students construct and activate different schemas, help them decode schemas of reading materials by using the stored knowledge and then cultivates students to form an efficient and effective habit and improve their reading ability.
