A Review of the Controversy over China Writers Association since the 21^(st) Century

摘　　要：当前各级作协仍然发挥对文学创作与批评的影响,但远非作协章程描述的那样理想。第一,不断有作家以"退会"的形式向作协提出抗议,而部分作家"入会"总是引发负面社会舆论;第二,少数作协干部的创作态度和创作能力受到质疑,个别作协干部在知识产权纠纷中败诉;第三,作协组织评审的"鲁迅文学奖"和"茅盾文学奖"在媒体报道中的声誉不佳。在舆论不断质疑的情况下,文艺管理机构如何提升其社会公信力,这无疑是值得重视并加以研究的课题。Although Writers Associations at all levels can still exert their influences on literary creation and criticism,they are not as satisfying as depicted in the Outline of China Writers Association. Firstly,a growing number of writers have protested against the association in the form of withdrawal,while the admission of some celebrities often leads to some negative public opinion. Secondly,the writing attitude and ability of a few cadres have been challenged,and some cadres have lost their lawsuits concerning the infringement of intellectual property. Thirdly,Lu Xun Literature Prize and Mao Dun Literature Prize,organized and reviewed by China Writers Association,have not yet gained a positive reputation in the media. It should be a long-term topic of great concern to study how China Writer Association,as a management organization of culture and art,can improve its social credibility and meet the appeal of the public for fair procedure.
