Objective To evaluate application effects of quality control circle (QCC)in reducing hip indurations induced by injection of progesterone. Methods In July 2014,a QCC activity, with the theme of“Reducing hip indurations induced by injection of progesterone”,was conducted by the QCC group consisted of 10 nurses.Related factors of hip indurations formation were analyzed for the procedures such as status quo comprehension and analysis, countermeasure formulation and implementation, and finally evaluation. Occurrence rate of hip indurations and capability of circle members before and after the QCC activity were compared. Results Incidence of hip indurations fell from 16.5% before to 5.5% after the QCC activity (χ2 =14.12,P 〈0.05).Six items including QCC technique, quality consciousness, team spirits, cooperation and communication of the member nurses scored higher than the ones before the activity (t =-4.02, -3.73,-4.10,-3.91,-4.51,-3.49;P 〈0.05).Conclusions Application of QCC can reduce incidence of hip indurations induced by injection of progesterone, decrease operation complications, inspire potential and enhance capability of quality management among the member nurses, which makes it worthies to promote in clinic.
