Objective To research the characteristics of impaired brain regions of children with nocturnal enuresis( NE) by voxel-mirrored homotopic connectivity( VMHC) of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging( rs-f MRI). Methods Use the approach of voxel-mirrored homotopic connectivity( VMHC) to analyze 15 NE children and normal children, both of whom had been examined by rs-f MRI scans. Then compare the difference of VMHC between by two samples T-TEST. Results The brain regions, which had obvious differences of VMHC between the two groups, were cerebellum and anterior cingulate gyrus. The group of NE was lower than normal children on both two regions. Conclusion The decreasing of the intensity of functional connection between cerebellums on children with NE damages cerebellum's timing function and causes dysfunction of controlling urination. Meanwhile, cerebellar dysfunction may be related to the decline of concentration and the decreasing of the intensity of the anterior cingulate gyrus connections decreases the ability of receiving the signal of urination and manifests as enuresis.
