摘　　要：当代中国自由择业知识分子是非公有制领域成长起来的知识分子群体,改革开放以来经历了孕育(1978-1991年)、产生(1992-2001年)、初步发展(2002-2012年)、全面发展(2012年以后)四个阶段。每个发展阶段既与整个国家改革开放进程和阶层分化状况密切相关,又取决于自由择业知识分子自身发展状况。The intellectuals who select jobs on their own wills in contemporary China are a group of intellectuals grew up in the field of non - public economy. Since the implementation of reform and opening up policy, they have experi- enced four development stages, i.e. incubation stage （ 1978 - 1991 ）, emerging stage （ 1992 -2001 ）, primary devel- opment stage （2002 -2012） and all- round development stage （since 2012）. Each stage is closely connected with the reform and opening up progress of the whole country and the stratification status, and also depends on the develop- ment status of the intellectuals selecting jobs on their own wills.
