摘　　要：美国社区教育发端于1930年代的社区学校运动。美国社区教育的演进主要体现在三个方面:一是社区教育实践的推广和多样化发展;二是社区教育在信息共享、理论发展和人才培育方面取得一系列进展;三是社区教育获得了州和联邦立法与资金支持。美国社区教育发展的启示在于,建构多层的社区教育概念,联结多样的社区教育组织和激发主动的社区教育参与。Community education in the United States has its origins in the community school movement in 1930s. The evolution of American community education is reflected in three phenomena： the popularization and diversification of community education practices, the progress of information sharing, theoretical construction and human capacity building in community education, and legislation and funding supports from state and the federal government. The implications of the development of American community education are in constructing multilevel concepts of community education, connecting the diverse organizations of community education, and promoting active community participation and empowerment.
