Problems Caused by Culture Difference

摘　　要：病人王某，女，67岁，退休教师，因患胆石症入院等待手术治疗。住院当天傍晚，感病室环境不安静、饭菜不合胃口、探视制度不合理等，向床位护士提出回家等待手术的要求。黄护士认为，这位新病员存在“应对无效”，应及时进行交谈。于是在翻阅病史、全面了解情况后，黄护士衣着整洁、面带微笑地来到病人床边。Mrs. Wang, a 67 year old retired teacher, was admittedto the hospital for cholelithiasis and was scheduled to have an operation. The first evening in hospital, she complained that the ward was too noisy, the food did not suit her taste, and the visiting hours were unreasonable, etc. She demanded that she should be allowed to stay home until her operation date. Her nurse, Miss Huang, felt that the patient was coping ineffectively and needed to be talked to immediately. After reviewing the patient＇s medical history, nurse Huang, neatly dressed, walked to the patient＇s bedside with a smile.
