摘　　要：本文从"古今地名之系连""同地异名之沟通""同名异地之离析""虚假地名之剔除""地名掌故之充实"5个方面,对《辞源》第三版地名词条修订工作之做法择要进行了记述。This paper explains the methods in revising the toponym entries in the third edition Ciyuan(《辞源》)in five aspects as follows:1) connections between the ancient and modern place names,2) connections between different names of the same place,3) segregation of the same name for different places,4) rejection of the false place names and 5) supplements of the anecdotes about place names.
