摘　　要：[目的/意义]研究DSpace系统的特征和优势,以帮助机构知识库开发者充分认识其性能并加以利用。[方法/过程]介绍典型开源机构知识库开发软件的使用情况,对使用率最高的DSpace系统的数据模型进行分析,重点研究其数字对象命名解析系统——Handle System,进而阐述DSpace系统在资源存储与获取中的优势。[结果/结论]DSpace是一个功能比较完善的机构知识库开发系统,有助于开发性能优良的机构知识库。[Purpose/significance] The paper is to analyze characteristics and advantages of DSpace system to help institutional repository developer fully understand its performance and take advantage of it. [Method/process]The paper introduces uses of world-wide typical open source softwares of developing institutional repository, analyzes data model of DSpace system with the highest utiliza- tion, emphatically studies Handle System,a digital object naming analytical system, and then expounds advantages of DSpace in resource storage and access. [Result/conclusion] DSpace is an institutional repository development system with relatively perfect function, and conduce to develop institutional repository with excellent performance.
