摘　　要：大都会歌剧院新演出季选择了《特里斯坦与伊索尔德》拉开帷幕,在五个小时的音乐后,不知还要参加晚宴的贵宾会谈些什么呢？女主角尼娜·斯特默（Nina Stemme）真的比上一季她在《埃莱克特拉》（Elektra）的表现更好吗？第三幕里男高音斯图尔特·斯凯尔顿（Stuart Skelton）是不是唱了所有特里斯坦的音乐？戏里不时出现的一个胸口流血的角色是谁的鬼魂？午夜才开始的晚宴什么时候可以结束？The Metropolitan Opera opened its season with a dark Tristan und Isolde.The set of a modern battleship has but one color—metal black.The doom and gloom atmospliere conveys the deatli wisli of the opera very well.But it ignores the aspect of transformation or transcendence.But the production did bring out some very vivid acting from the singers.Nina Stemme sang Isolde with beauty of line and burnished emotion.Stuart Skelton's Tristan was lyrical in color but heroic in stamina.Simon Rattle gave a clear sense of the music's structure.
