摘 要:提出了一种60GHz毫米波、UWB(超宽带)信号和基带信号混合传输的光纤通信系统。在中心站采用10GHz RF(射频)信号驱动两个并行PM(相位调制器)产生三阶边带,在基站通过PD(光检测器)拍频生成6倍频的60GHz毫米波;利用高斯电脉冲驱动双极型MZM(马赫-曾德调制器)生成二阶UWB信号;UWB信号和基带信号通过偏振复用调制在同一光载波上。仿真结果表明,2.5Gbit/s的信号经20km单模光纤传输后,眼图清晰;生成的UWB信号中心频率为5.5GHz,相对带宽达到98%,符合FCC(美国联邦通信委员会)标准。A optical fiber communication system simultaneous transmitting millimeter-wave,Ultra Wide Band (UWB) signal and baseband signal is proposed. In central station, a 10 GHz radio frequency signal is used to drive two parallel Phase Modulator (PM) to produce third-order sideband. In base station, 60 GHz millimeter wave is generated from the beating of optical detec- tor. Electronic Gaussian pulses are utilized to drive dual Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM) to generate the second-order UWB signal. The UWB and baseband signals are modulated on the same optical carrier through polarization multiplexing. Simulation results show that the eye pattern is still clear after the 2.5 Gbit/s signal transmitting over 20 km signal model fiber. The gen- erated UWB signal meets the criterion of the U. S. Federal Communications Commission(FCC), which has a central of 5.5 GHz and a relative bandwidth of 98%.
