摘　　要：进入21世纪,日本以发达的科技实力为基础大力发展科技外交,在解决全球问题、改善国家形象方面发挥了积极作用。日本的科技外交不管是战略还是实践都走在了亚洲乃至世界的前列,值得中国等其他国家借鉴。文章着重对日本科技外交战略的形成过程与当前的发展方向进行梳理,从三个层次分析和总结日本的科技外交实践,尝试为其他国家尤其是中国的科技外交提供借鉴。In the 21^st century, Japan relies on its advanced science and technology （S＆T） basis to develop S＆T diplomacy, taking actives part in solving global challenges as well as in shaping the national image itself. S＆T diplomacy of Japan has already gone ahead of Asian countries and the world in strategy and practice. The author gave some analysis on the strategy and experience of Japanese S＆T diplomacy and its current development direction, and then focused on analyzing the practice experience of Japanese S＆T diplomacy in three different dimensions.
