摘　　要：《白雪公主后传》塑造了美国20世纪60年代渴望解放的现代女性形象——白雪公主,但是白雪公主没能逃脱依附男人的命运,渴求女性解放的愿望落空。小说中无处不在的男性凝视将女性变为男性的欲望对象,女性试图建构的主体性成为永恒的匮乏,女性的解放受阻;强大的男权势力宣扬男性主宰、女性服从,男性作为本源和主体而存在,女性被看成男性的补充物和客体的思维范式,而女性在这种范式中被培养、被规训,继而被阉割,最终失去自我,争取解放的斗争成为虚妄。因而,《白雪公主后传》质疑和拷问了美国女权运动。Snow White depicts a female character in pursuit of liberation in the 1960 s,Snow White. Yet,Snow White is unable to escape the destiny of being an appendage to man,with the longing for liberation nullified. In the novel,ubiquitous male gaze transforms woman into sex object,satisfying male＇s fetishized erotic pleasure,baffling woman＇s efforts in constructing their subjectivity. And patriarchy advocates the idea of male dominance and female subjection,male as essential and female inessential,male as the Subject and female the Object,in which women are trained,disciplined,and eventually castrated with their struggling for liberation failed. Therefore,Snow White questions the validity of the American Women＇s Movement.
