摘　　要：对稀土金属和稀土金属间化合物的制备、性能以及研究和应用状况做了一个简单的综述,重点对稀土金属材料在冶金、催化、磁性以及储氢等几个关键领域进行了介绍,给出了一些自己所知的最新研究动态以及自己的想法,供参考和批评。This article gave a simple overview on preparations of rare earth metals and rare earth intermetallic compounds, characteristics as well as their research and application status, especially introduced the most important areas such as metallurgy, catalysis, magnetism and hydrogen storage of them, and gave some latest research trends and our personal thoughts for reference and criticism.
