The aim of this study was to investigate the trendency of the CD64 + neutrophils in the patients with infection complicated by bums. A total of one hundred patients (73 male and 27 female) admitted to our hospital arranged from March 2015 to March 2016 were enrolled in this study. The 100 cases were divided into two groups, 50 cases in observer group and the others in control group, based on whether complicated infection or not. The blood samples and the burn area were detected, and the percentage of CD64+ neutrophils in the peripheral blood of the two groups were tested by the flow cytometry, and observed the difference of CD64 expression intensity on the surface of the neutrophils bewteen the two groups. We found that in the result the percentage of CD64+ neutrophils in the observer group reached (41.5±7.6)%, significantly higher than that in the control group with a percentage of (7.2±5. 1)%. Fluorescence microscopy showed that the expression intensity of CD64 on the surface ofneutrophils in the observer group was significantly higher than that in the control group. In conclusion, the percentage of CD64+neutrophils was significantly increased in the patients with infection complicated by bums, and the expression intensity was significantly stronger than those without infection. So the CD64+ neutrophils could be used for the prediction and diagnosis of infection.
