摘　　要：在阿特伍德的小说《使女的故事》中,作者用文学想象和叙事阐释了权力和空间的关系。在小说中,空间是权力政治运作的场所,权力不仅渗透到了公共空间,而且侵入了家庭空间、个人空间,使建筑学和空间紧密结合在一起,从而达到对主体的惩戒,实现对福柯身体的驯服。通过对个体和生活空间的渗透,权力实现了被监控者对权力和行为规范的内在化,空间的琐碎化成为视觉监视的有效形式,是对福柯权力原则的创造性应用,同时也体现了权力关系网络的相互性和反抗的无所不在。Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale is an imaginary construction of a bleak theocracy under the rule of the politics of discourse. Space is shot through with political power that aims to discipline and punish the subject and produce docile bodies. Power permeates public,familial,and private spaces,and its implementation is well carried out through architectural manipulation. In addition,the interiorization of etiquette and imposition on the body goes hand in hand with the subjection of the individuals to constant gaze. Thus the trivialization of the spatiality of power in everyday life is a thorough implementation of power through its ingenious application of the Panopticon.
