摘　　要：自罗素的《论指称》发表以来,研究限定摹状词理论成为语言哲学一个经久不衰的话题。基思·唐奈兰也发表《指称与限定摹状词》一文,就摹状词提出独到见解。细读与分析该文及相关文献之后发现,唐奈兰的工作实质上丰富并发展指称与摹状词理论,深化语义与语用、人工语言与日常语言之争,使这一语言哲学永久辩题的深入具有更为广博的理论基础。Ever since the publication of Bertrand Russell＇s＂On Denoting＂,the research of the theory of descriptions has become an enduring topic in the field of the philosophy of language,in which Keith Donnellan has also shed his valuable insights into descriptions through the publication of his article entitled＂Reference and Definite Descriptions＂. A thorough review and analysis of the article and relevant literature reveals that Donnellan＇s work has matter-of-factly enriched and developed the theory of reference and descriptions,and has deepened the debate between semantics pragmatics,and between artificial language everyday language. Hence it lays a broad and profound theoretical foundation for further discussion of this lasting topic in the philosophy of language.
