传教士字典《汉英韵府》厦门话音系比较研究

摘　　要：《汉英韵府》(1874)是美国汉学家卫三畏在北京任职期间,利用公余时间在11年里逐步完成的大作。本文以《汉英韵府》所记录的厦门话为研究对象,使用归纳法、拟测法、比较法等方法进行分析。对字典所记录的厦门话语音进行横向和纵向的比较,横向主要是与反映厦门方言音系的叶开温编《八音定诀》(1875)的音系进行对比,纵向是与周长楫编撰《厦门方言词典》(1993)的音系进行对比。通过与同时期的厦门话韵书的比较,明确《汉英韵府》所记录的厦门话的性质。而与现代的厦门话词典进行比较,可以研究厦门话从19世纪末以来的演变。A syllabic dictionary of the Chinese language（1874） is the masterpiece of an American scholar Samuel Wells Williams who finished it in his spare time during his tenure in Beijing within 11 years. This paper chooses Xiamen phonetic system of A Syllabic Dictionary of the Chinese Language as the research topic, adopting induction, the internal measurement and comparison to conduct the analysis. Horizontal and vertical comparisons are conducted based on the record about Xiamen dialect in the dictionaries when horizontal comparison is made with Ye Kaiwen’s ＂Ba yin ding jue＂（1875） which reflects Xiamen dialect sound system while vertical comparison is made with Zhou Changji’s Xiamen dialect dictionary（1993）. Based on the comparison with the dictionary of Xiamen dialect of the same time, the nature of Xiamen dialect recorded in A Syllabic Dictionary of the Chinese Language is clarified while based on the comparison with modern Xiamen dialect dictionary, research on the evolution of the Xiamen dialect since the end of the 19 th century can be conducted.
