The Central Development Area in Daqing Oilfield has been currently at the extra-high water-cut stage. The formation pressure has been gradually reduced in recent years with serious reservoir degassing and arduous exploitation, which influenced the stable production. Therefore, the reasonable formation pressure limits should be determined under the condition of stable yield. The reservoir engineering theory, numerical simulation and other research methods were used, combined with laboratory experiment and the analysis on the field data both from internal and external oilfields of the same type the reasonable formation pressure under the principle of maximum oil recovery factor was determined synthetically, which was kept closed to the saturation pressure. At the same time, the needs of oilfield production was taken into consideration, reasonable formation pressure limit in Development Area of Central Sa'ertu Oilfield was determined to be 10.1MPa.The reasonable recovery rate of formation pressure was determined as fluid production remained unchanged under the condition of maximum water injection capacity. This method can provide guidance for taking adjustment measures and tapping the potential with different methods in the oilfields at high water-cut stage.
