The setting of distribution substation in super high-rise buildings should meet the requirements of national and local regulations. The distribution substation should be set up separately to facilitate the operation and management according to the nature of electricity consumption. The voltage drop at the terminal of the electrical equipment should meet the requirements of relevant regulations. Convenience in equipment transportation should be considered, and particular attention should be paid to the safety and economical efficiency of operation. By calculating the active power loss and voltage loss of the distribution substation of a certain super high-rise building, technical analysis and economic comparison are carried out from the aspects of energy consumption, cost of high and low voltage cables, cost of equipment in the distribution substation, and equipment transportation for the selection of location of distribution substation in the super high-rise building. For buildings with a height of 100- 150 m, the main distribution substation can be set up only in the underground floor, but the voltage drop in the low-voltage distribution lines, i. e. the voltage drop, should be calculated for verification.
