摘　　要："清理战时文物损失委员会"是国民政府为了调查战时中国文物损失而设,这为日后从日本接收战时被劫夺文物提供了依据。由于战后复员等因素,委员会人员一直未能到位,会务工作也未能有效开展。为了顺利推进该会的各项工作,在教育部长朱家骅多次敦请下,陈训慈克服各种困难出任该会副主任委员。因为主任委员杭立武在南京,难以长期主持工作,所以会务运作和人员安排等方面工作都是由陈训慈筹划。虽然陈训慈深感会务工作"推进不易",但他还是竭尽所能,到会之初就拟定了工作计划,在人事和经费等各项上担起了实际上的领导责任。在各区工作人员的努力下,文物损失调查工作大致完成,但由于美国的偏袒,在日本的被劫文物接收工作并不顺利,而"清理战时文物损失委员会"也在1947年4月结束了它的历史使命。The Investigation Committee of Lost Cultural Heritage during the War was established to survey the losses of Chinese cultural heritage during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. It provided evidence when recovering looted cultural heritage from Japan. However, after the war, the Committee was unable to gather enough staffs and, as a result, related work did not start effectively. To advance its work, at the requests of Minister of Education Zhu Jiahua, Chen Xunci overcame difficulties and acted as the Vice Chairman. Because Chairman Hang Liwu, who was in Nanjing then, was unable to preside over the Committee for a long time, Chen became the actual leader and was responsible for the operations and personnel matters. Despite great barriers of bringing the Committee into operation, he did his best to make a work plan and made enormous contributions to personnel and financial matters. Thanks to efforts from regional branches of the Committee, the investigation of lost cultural heritage had been almost completed. But the recovery of looted cultural heritage from Japan was impeded because of partiality of the US. In April 1947, the Committee was disbanded.
