Objective To investigate the effect of predictive swallowing function assessment and rehabilitation nursing for stroke patients with swallowing disorders. Methods 80 patients with stroke were divided into two groups equally. Patients in the rehabilitation group were given standardized bedside swallowing assessment screening after admission and targeted predictive guidance and swallowing fimction training. Patients in the control group were given optional swallowing training one week after admission. Results The incidence of aspiration pneumonia of rehabilitation group was 15.0 %, significantly lower than 37.5 % of control group (P 〈0.05). The total effective rate of swallow ability of rehabilitation group was 82.5%, significantly higher than 57.5% of control group (P 〈0.05). Conclusions Predictive swallowing function assessment can accurately judge the swallowing situation of stroke patients, and effective swallowing motor and sensory training can lower the incidence of pneumonia and improve the swallowing situation.
