摘　　要：网络都市言情小说的社会功能有两大类:一类是显性功能,一类是隐性功能。显性功能包括娱乐功能和文化功能,它的娱乐功能摆脱了中国传统文学功能论,使其不再从属于政治,更强调"娱己娱人"的功能。就文化功能而言,都市言情小说是和现实紧密相连的,无论它如何弱化现实的残酷性,都会透露出真实的社会文化和人性的善恶,表达着自己和某些群体的是非善恶标准,在这些群体的社会成员中共有同一种价值观和社会文化,从中折射出时代的精神状况和文化状况。同时,网络都市言情小说不同于一些主流文学那样具有极强的认识功能和教育功能,似乎不能赋以"载道"的重任,而其隐性功能却又恰恰显现出它的认识功能和教育功能。文本中所表现出的对社会、人性、情感的认知正是我们平时教育的短板,如何从中找到教育的切入点,又能"寓教于乐",需要从网络都市言情小说在创作、传播与接受中形成良性的渠道,并提升作者与读者的群体素质,最终创作出优秀的作品。Online novels on urban love show two social functions. One is visible function, while the other is invisible function. The former includes recreational function and cultural function. The recreational function casts off traditional Chinese theory on literature, making it not belong to politics but focus on the function of ＂entertaining both oneself and others＂. As to cultural function, the novels on urban love are closed to reality. No matter how they weaken cruel reality, they reveal real social culture and human nature, expressing the author＇s standards, as well as those of certain groups, for the right and the wrong, the good and the bad. Among the social members belonging to these groups, there is a common value and a social culture, which reflects the spiritual and cultural situations of the era. In the meanwhile, the novels are different from those of mainstream that shows strong recognition and education functions. The former cannot undertake the task of ＂spreading education ideas＂. However, the invisible function can show its recognition and education functions. The recognition presented in the novels in terms of the society, man＇s nature, and feelings is what we lack in daily education. We should find an aspect for education through the novels, so as to realize the aim of ＂conducting education through entertainment＂. We should not only form good channels for the composition, spread, and acceptance of the novels, but also promote writers＇ and readers＇ qualities, so as to create excellent works.
